Football, Friends, and Frustration
so last night, i went to my first high school football game. the team played well, i think. actually, i was clueless during most of the game. i get the rules, but i had no idea what was going on without being able to hear the commentary. therefore, a lot of the time i was asking who had the ball, and what just happened. the guy next to me was not very helpful. i was wishing that a certain somebody was there to explain, cuz it's always made sense when they explain stuff. but, that person wasn't. so, i just had to pretend i knew what was going on and cheer. we won though. the first point scored was a feild goal by the other school. then we got a field goal. then we got a touchdown. then they got a touchdown. then we got a field goal, then they got one, and then we went into overtime, and we got a touchdown, and they almost got one too, but they ran out of time, and we intercepted the ball. it was pretty awesome. afterwards, we were supposed to go to the stomp, but it was only going to be an hour and a half because the game lasted for so long. so, it wasn't going to be worth the money, and we went home. i'm so upset though, cuz i went and was in a group of people who are all my friends, but i don't feel like i belong because i don't eat lunch with them, so i don't get invited to parties and stuff, so i'm not in on any of the inside jokes, and i just don't know them as well. i just need to do stuff outside of my house more. and then i'll get better freinds with people, whether it's them or others. i hope i can do it.

Amazing News and What I Forgot
so, first, i'll go with the amazing news i have!!!! so, on tuesday, i had an audition to get a role on the shakespeare festival team. I was really nervous. yesterday i didn't find out if i got a part. I did today!!!!! so, i'm not in the ensemble scene, and i'm not doing a monologue. i'm in a trio scene!! we're doing romeo and juliet (i'm not sure which scene, i didn't write it down) and i'll be playing lady capulet!!!! my good friend who want to marry older than me one is playing juliet, and some boy that i don't know is playing lord capulet. but that's not the point. the point is, I'M GOING TO CEDAR CITY!!!!!!!! all right, now that i've said my amazing news, i'll have to tell you what i forgot about last time. i went on an overnighter with the other 4th year girls campers. we slept in our leader's backyard, and then the next day we went biking. we started out on a dirt trail, but it kinda got too hard for us, so we turned around and went back, and then we went on a different trial that was paved. it was amazingly fun! and, ya wanna know why? it's cuz i wasn't struggling to keep up. whenever we go biking as a family, my dad speeds away, and then my brothers go fast too, and i'm always struggling to keep up. but this time, i was one of the faster ones in the group. my legs didn't even get sore! so happy! however, those sitting down muscles where the seat of the bike was jabbing me hurt for a long time. they really should give bicycle seats padding. anyway, that concludes today's buisness.

CRAZY CATCH UP!!!
okay, i have been a bad blogger. i've not written in two forevers!!! so...i'll start where i left off. family reunion. it was funner for the rest of the time. it was amazing. i also like our family song book, except that they only mentioned my real favorite song, and didn't put in the words...but other than that everything was perfect. then the day after all of that got over we had the other side of the family over to our house for my grandpa's big 70th! so, i'm basically getting fat from all the good food. also, school started!!! before the 1st family thing was over. AHHH! it's only the second week and i'm already falling behind. who knew that high school was this much harder than junior high? not me, that's for sure. so, since i'm so excited about school (and i'm procrastinating my homework right now) i'll tell you all about my classes. i have health, and the teacher is pretty awesome. but then again, it's health, and it's a morning class, so i'm not all that into staying fully awake during that class. i try, but my mind just wanders. then after health i have drama. wow, it's like bravo all over again, only we're missing half of the people. it's pretty cool. although, a lot of drama kids are weirdies. on to my third class, English. it's an honors class, so it's hard, but it's good, and i think i'll learn a lot this year. my teacher is basically a hobbit though. it's pretty awesome. then for my last class of A days, i have Chemistry. it's ok so far. the teacher is interesting, but in a good way i suppose. hm. yeah. so for B days i start out with math. my teacher is like a grandma, and she has no concept of time, so twice we've ended up without homework cuz she didn't finish the lesson. after that i have AP US history (A PUSH) it takes a lot of work. about 45 pages of reading each night, and we actually have to know the stuff. and the teacher....well....she's basically insane. usually that's a good thing...but sometimes it isn't. she just goes off on tangents and stuff sometimes. and that's the least of it. after that i have my seminary class. my teacher is basically insanely awesome, but he's the first teacher i've ever had that couldn't remember my name. he said it three times in one class period, well, he asked each of those times, so i guess technically i said it first, but he still couldn't remember when i left. i think it's pretty awesome. my last period of the day is Theatre make-up. it's pretty fun so far. it means that i see the drama teacher every day, but i'm good with that. so far i've made one new friend. that' all. and since a good majority of my friends went to the other rival high school, i'm stuck feeling all alone. if it weren't for my cousins i wouldn't even be surviving. Thank goodness for them. ya know, the weird thing is that older than me one is taking two of the same classes as i am. we see each other a lot, but we hardly speak to each other. it's kinda sad. i miss the easy school days. so, since this is still my crazy catch up, one more item of buisness before i close. older than me two gave his farewell talk yesterday. i bawled through half of it, which is not normal for me. i'm not usually one to cry during church. he's not leaving for two more weeks, but already i miss him. i'm so sad that he's going. he was a good person to turn to for advice. (so is older than me one, but i'm not focusing on him right now.) one time when i had gotten home from a party, i was feeling sick inside because of some of the things people said there, and i was crying, and he came home just ten minutes after i did, and he helped me through it, and had me do some stuff that helped a lot. i'm gonna miss him a lot. a lot a lot a lot. i'm glad that he's going, but i wish he wasn't leaving. ya know what i mean? well...that concludes my catching up. i'll try to be better at writing more.

Family Reunion
there's really no point to this post, so if you are going to skip reading one, skip this one. this weekend is our annual family reunion on the mom's side of the family. now, i'm not usually one to complain, but this time, we only have about half of the family. we have; uncle 1 who has lots of kids, most of whom are older than my oldest sibling; aunt 2 who has three kids, all of whom are married and have children, but only two of her kids are in town; my family; grandparents. that's it. nobody who i normally would talk to at these kinds of things. it's usually much bigger than that. well, last night we had a bbq. that was fun. adults can be pretty awesome sometimes, and if they aren't, then you can go ahead and play with the children who don't know how to speak yet. younger than me 1, 2, and 3 all slept over at uncle 1's house because it was a sleepover. today we went to a pool. it was ok. i didn't have much fun, but it was ok. we played water basketball. (i discovered that there is a sport i am good at! well, when i'm playing against my family anyway.) and then we went back to uncle 1's house for lunch. then we talked. we already had talked tonz last night, so we ran out of stuff to talk about. not very fun. plus, i'm freezing and wet because i didn't think ahead to bring clothes. (i would have if i had known we would stay for so long!) so we asked for about an hour when we could go. eventually mom caved, after other people started leaving, and said that if we loaded the car, she would take us home. well, she did, but she left two younger than me 1 and younger than me 3 there to go swimming some more. don't get me wrong, i really do love my family, but we ran out of stuff to do, and it got kinda boring. i'm glad that tomorrow we'll be playing card/board games, and on monday we'll be having a lesson and stuff. so i hope it turns out better.

Day of Dread
today was sophomore day....ya, i know what you're thinking, so what? i'll tell ya what. some pretty amazing stuff happened. i didn't die. i saw people i knew. i was never really lost (but i didn't always know where i was going). i lost my name tag and still managed to end up getting a T-shirt cuz apparently i look trustworthy or something. i opened my locker on the first try. that doesn't always happen, even when i do know the locker combo. my drama class had about half of the people from the drama class i took last year in it. the teachers seemed ok. but, even though all that good stuff happened, there's some bad stuff too. i will still get lost on monday. i should have been smart enough to pick up a map to study. i kept seeing people that connect with other people, but the other people go to pg, so i was sad. i definately did not get the hang of going across the whole school in five minutes. i have a teacher twice, and all of my older siblings had her, so she probably already has a first impression of me, and it might not be good, but it could be. who knows? not me. also, i ended up walking home in the heat. ugh. it take so much longer to get home from the high school. i could walk and get to the junior high from my house in five to seven minutes. it took about twenty minutes to walk home. some of my friends, and my almost friends (who i would be friends with if we saw each other more) had completely different schedules than me. so, it was a good and bad first day. sigh. that's all i have to say today.

Little Girls
have you ever been in a room with nine little girls? now, being in the room was bad enough, but i was in charge. yes, it was little sister's birthday party. of course, i had help. my best-friend-cousin was there too. the party was planned, but the execution was much harder than the planning. we were going to start out making kool-aid lip gloss. now, it's not that hard, one tablespoon of shortening, one teaspoon of honey, and one package of kool-aid (or in this case flavor-aid) dissolved in 1/4 teaspoon of water. mix it all together, and put it in a container. voila! lip gloss that tastes good, smells good, and has color that shows up. be careful though, it stings if you put it on chapped lips. seems easy enough, right? well, it is, until you add the little girls. so much confusion. but eventually, we helped it get made. (by helped i mean did most of it.) at the end, i warned them. this stains!!! DO NOT wipe it on your clothes. we have napkins and paper towels, so use those. what do you suppose happens? little girl number one wipes her cherry gloss all over her tan pants! so maybe that wasn't a good idea. the next thing we did was make journals. scrapbook paper, glue sticks, composition notebooks, and a paper cutter. all of them picked the two colors they wanted, and i cut the paper for them. they only needed three pieces. it was easy enough, until they started wiping glue all over everything. all they had to do was cover the notebook with the paper. is it really that hard to do it without getting glue on the table?(they were working on place mats, so we thought ahead there, but i didn't think we'd need to cover the whole table in plastic.) next on the agenda was painting nails. by this time, my mom had gotten home and had said that me and best-friend-cousin should paint their nails instead of letting them do each other's like i was thinking we would. good idea. then was presents, easy enough. after that we had cupcakes. hostess cupcakes. well, it's better than nothing. birthday parties are stressful. i suggest you plan activities that don't involve anything that stains, could spill, has glue, involves preparing food with the guests, is sharp, could give people paper cuts, or is supposed to be a "great project for parties." also, make sure you have back up.

Room "Cleaning" Day
Today was our room cleaning day. my siblings "younger than me one" and "younger than me two" somehow managed to avoid doing it all day. first, there was the waking up of morning, and the eating of cold cereal, and the watching of tv....well when our mom found out what was going on our friend the tv was shut down for the day. then there was the "getting ready" phase of the day. what that means for one and two is shutting the door to your room almost all the way and changing and playing with that hampster. well, younger than me one realized that when he had been gone for two weeks, the hampster's cage did not get cleaned. so, of course they had to clean it. (i'd been wondering why the whole basement stunk so bad for the last two weeks.) then came the phone call where they were invited to go swimming at noon. (at this point in the day it's about 11:30) so of course they ended up leaving without doing hardly anything on their rooms. meanwhile, i'm having a disasterous hair day. i was going to crimp my hair, just to see how well it worked, but it didn't work well at all, so i ended up straightening it. then i took sibling "Older than me two" to lunch at panda express, which was delicious by the way. and "younger than me three" was cleaning up her stuff in our room. i get home to her almost done, with the room part of it, and i hadn't done a whole lot of cleaning either. (now it's 1:00) so i start working and get mostly done in the room about the time that younger than me three finishes with the closet. at this point in the day, younger than me one and two come home. two is very sunburnt and uses that as an excuse for about thirty minutes. then they go to "clean" their room. they come into my room where i am going through all my clothes with mom. the first time, they were asking questions. the second time they were asking questions. the third time, younger than me two had his feet tied up by younger than me one. he was also sporting a stylish black cape. the next time they came in younger one was holding the rope and younger two was just following him. they were about to ask a question when mom gets a little frustrated and tells them to go back to their room cuz that wasn't getting it clean. at this time, all i have left is a couple odds and ends, and the dreaded closet. it's at this point that i suggest setting a gaurd outside their room would be a good idea, but we decided that we couldn't becuase nobody wants to do that. it is at this point that they are in their room with the door shut for half an hour. then we have dinner and do our kitchen jobs....i'll bet they end up watching the olympics with dad and other siblings. yes, i admit it, i'm using this as an excuse to not finish up right now, but i promise i'll get back to it, and clean it too. *minute passes* i just spoke with younger than me one. he claims that his room is clean. i doubt it...i'm gonna go check it out. so i'll have to finish my room while i'm down there. it's gonna be fun.

Just One of Those Days
Today was just one of those days. i think you know what i mean by that.
it's the day where you press the snooze button on your alarm clock so many times that eventually you just set it again to wake you up a half hour later instead of pressing snooze.
it's the day that getting the right temperature in the shower is impossible.
it's the day that after you have gotten in the shower, you realize that you have almost no shampoo left, so you have to use the kind that smells manly.
it's the day that you realize that you have a concert tonight, and you forgot to ask your brother to make dinner, so you'll be eating late because your mom is out of town with the brother just older than you, and your dad is taking you to the concert.
it's the day that you realize you forgot to water the plants yesterday, and the day before.
it's the day that you realize you forgot to have your youngest brother do his laundry, so he has to do it this morning and afternoon when you were going to wash those tennis shoes that you had at girls camp a month and a half ago.
it's one of those days where your eyes suddenly decide to be irritated at your make-up remover wipes that you've been using for years, and you only had to use it to wipe away some stray mascara.
it's that day that you decide to sharpen your eyeliner pencil, but then you realize that it was stupid of you to buy eyeliner in a pencil in the first place because everyone knows that sharpening it is the biggest pain in the world (ya know, the kind of pain where you take ibuprofen and go to sleep until you feel better, but you can't go to sleep, cuz you'll still have to do your make-up sometime).
it's the day that you ate sugary cereal for breakfast, and it made you feel sick. it's the day that after your breakfast made you sick, you're going to have to go play music for several hours.
it's one of those days where all of this has happened, and it's not even 8:30 yet.
but, i'm not complaining.
it's also one of those days where you get to do what you love for the first half of the day.
it's one of those days where you get to make new friends, and then have fun with them all day.
it's the day that you get watermelon before lunch, and then you get an amazing lunch anyway.
it's the day that you finally decide that it's ok to be stressed out, because it'll pass.
it's the day that you finally get that email that you've been waiting for from that friend that you haven't seen for a year.
it's the day that you get to perform in an orchestra, and you got first chair in auditions.
it's the day that you discover how to blog.
it's the day you start your blog.
it's the day that you find out how to stretch those sore muscles that you didn't even know were sore.
it's the day that started out not so hot, and ended up wonderful.
it's one of those kinds of days.
it's the day where you press the snooze button on your alarm clock so many times that eventually you just set it again to wake you up a half hour later instead of pressing snooze.
