Kitchen Appliances

Yes, Christmas happened. Christmas happened, and presents also happened. I'm the kind of person who loves to give people presents. I don't like giving mass presents, so nobody I give to gets the same thing, but I love to give them all the same. I still haven't delivered all of them. Oops! But I'll get to it sooner or later. (probably should make that sooner...) I really like to give gifts. More often than not, my gifts (not Christmas gifts, but other gifts) consist of food. I love to feed people. In fact, almost every time someone comes into my home, I feel like they should eat my food. I think it may have something to do with this need to feed people that my Christmas presents came about. Kitchen appliances. (You know its a sign of being a grown up when you are obnoxiously excited about getting kitchen appliances for Christmas.) My kitchen will now be equipped with an amazing George Foreman Grill. Its the kind of grill you can adjust the temperature on. Its the kind that has removable dishwasher safe plates. Its the kind that also has a set of waffle iron plates. Its also shiny! (Being a grown up does not mean being mature. Just thought I'd clarify.) Further, I got a nice and heavy solid marble rolling pin. This will make tortilla making much, much easier. Typically I have sore hands after making tortillas from putting so much pressure on the rolling pin. But that will not be a problem anymore. I also got a blender. It was very cheap, but it has a two year warranty, so it guaranteed to last that long. Then, my present to myself was a spinning spice rack. My spices are now all in pretty jars that are organized so I can find them. With all these new toys in my kitchen, I am going to have so many cooking adventures! And with my new cookbook, (When it finally gets finished) I will be fully equipped to handle almost any kitchen challenge. Speaking of that cookbook, I should probably continue to work on it now instead of writing here. However, I promise that there will be stories of kitchen adventures to come.
